When I originally arranged this piece for French horn ensemble, I had a vision of making it into a wind ensemble piece someday. Seasonal percussion timbres start the piece with a sense of hope and excitement that leads into a feature for a horn trio with the familiar Angels We Have Heard on High melody. The piece takes flight with sweeping woodwind lines and majestic brass fanfares that bring the spirit of the season to life.
